For Q1 2013, HarvEast Holding allocated over UAH 240 thousand to support social infrastructure of Crimean settlements, where the Holding’s assets are located.
These funds were used to replace the windows in Kalinino village school, to pay the bills to meet the technical conditions for the reconstruction of water supply system in Yantarnoe village. Moreover, the Holding undertook to pay the debt of Novoandreevka village for the hot water supply.
In the framework of assistance to rural health posts, the Holding equipped 13 posts of Krasnogvardeisk, Kirovskoe, Simferopol and Dzhankoy districts with the useful gifts — family physician’s bag kits. The bag kit, which is custom-made for the Holding, includes all the necessary tools and materials for primary examination of the patient and first aid.
«In 2012, the Holding almost quadruples the social projects funding — up to UAH 15 mln. versus UAH 4 mln. in 2011 — says HarvEast Holding’s CEO Simon Cherniavsky — We also identified priority areas, where our assistance and investments are needed first of all. This is the support and development of village social infrastructure and care about the rural residents’ health. We are going to work in these areas in the current 2013 focusing on reconstruction and equipping of rural health posts, rehabilitation of water supply systems, repairs and improvement of schools, kindergartens and rural culture centres. As for the Crimea, Holding allocated UAH 600 thou. on the implementation of social projects in 2012. In 2013, the so-called Holding’s „social“ budget has been increased up to UAH 800 thou. «
In addition to the assistance provided to the village councils and communities, in 2012, the Holding provided financial assistance to 316 pensioners — interest holders for the purchase of domestic fuel worth UAH 371 thou.
