On July 19, 2024, Dmytro Skornyakov, the CEO of the HarvEast, together with the owner of the Variant Agro Bud irrigation equipment manufacturing company, Daniil Shufani, solemnly launched 5 irrigations machins in the Kyiv region. The new equipment of the Ukrainian brand will provide irrigation for 300 hectares of sunflower seed crops. In total, HarvEast will have 800 hectares under irrigation.
Today, all areas of the agricultural holding, where sprinklers work, are located in the Kyiv region. However, HarvEast also had more than 1,500 hectares under irrigation in the Donetsk region. In February 2022, at the beginning of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the agricultural producer lost control over these lands, which are currently located in the temporarily occupied territory.
To organize the irrigation of new seed crops in the Kyiv region this year, HarvEast chose 5 wide-reaching circular sprinklers of the Ukrainian partner Variant Agro Bud. Prior to that, the company purchased equipment from foreign manufacturers.
All machines were designed and adapted by a domestic supplier for the specific fields of farmers. Their installation and start-up was carried out in the shortest possible time. The total investments of the agricultural holding amounted to more than 800,000 euros.
